Trapped within his own mind, Marco Spada lives under the artificial identity of Marc Bomar, an avatar generated by a system of control. In the dystopian Sendai City—a psychic projection sustained by propaganda and trauma—he embarks on an odyssey of visions guided by his sessions with the enigmatic Mrs. Pilik, a psychotherapist.
Along his journey, he encounters figures that embody his deepest emotional wounds: Daddy, a cyclopean investigator with a single eye at the center of his face, who watches him like a judgmental father; Ophira, a seductive woman with seven eyes capable of seeing beyond lies; and the illusion of his sister Anna, recreated as a simulacrum within the realm of Liquid Memory.
At the heart of power, the cold and enigmatic leader Cirsei reveals the ultimate truth: the Great Brain does not govern the city—he does. The entire journey has been a mental experiment, a test designed to measure his resistance to control.
When Daddy is about to be consumed by the vortex of the Great Brain, Bomar makes his final choice. He saves him and takes his place, embracing sacrifice as the only true form of freedom.
The inner city fades away. Neon lights die out, radio broadcasts fall silent, and against the empty skyline appears the Great Brain—a pulsating mass of light that engulfs Bomar completely. Left free at last, Daddy reflects the image of the sacrifice in his single eye, while a fragment of a news bulletin crackles through the air before abruptly cutting out, surrendering everything to silence.
Against a black screen, a glitched message flashes:

Then, a final voice whispers his true name:
Marco Spada.
